Little Giant Ladder

About Little Giant Ladder

Little Giant Ladder has been turning heads since it was founded in 1972 and Hal Wing, its founder, has been at it for even longer.  Wing served in the United States Army in Germany from 1958-1961.  In the following years he began selling life insurance for Beneficial Life Insurance; in 1970 he moved his insurance agency to West Germany where it became Beneficial’s top performing agency.  It was during this time that he met a German inventor whose new telescoping combination step and extension ladder impressed Wing.  Upon returning to the States, Wing obtained North American manufacturing rights for the ladder and, in the Wing family garage, Wing Enterprises was born.
Today it is an international, multi-million dollar manufacturing and marketing corporation whose Little Giant Ladder company received  Utah County’s 2009 Business of the Year Award, won Popular Mechanic’s 2009 Editor’s Choice Award, and is the #1 worldwide leader in high end ladders.

Hal Wing is listed in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in the West, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Men of Achievement, and was selected for the 1982 Freedom Festival Man of the Year Award. In 1986 Mr. Wing was invited to serve as a representative at President Reagan’s White House Conference of Small Business in Washington, D.C. Mr. Wing was elected mayor of Springville, Utah in 1997.
